Wilcom announces further investment in Europe

Sydney, Australia: October 28, 2014 – Wilcom are pleased to announce that Henry & Barbara Stümer of TexDesign have joined the Wilcom team to provide additional sales and support resources for a growing number of partners in Scandinavia and parts of Eastern Europe. Wilcom has had a long and fruitful relationship with Henry and Barbara, they have a deep knowledge of Wilcom software and we are confident they can add significant value to our partners.

As part of Wilcom’s commitment to the European market, Mr Wright and Wilcom Managing Director, Denis Quaintance visited distribution partners in Italy, Norway, Poland, France, Spain and Portugal in the last month.

Mr Quaintance said “It is critical to our success that we meet regularly with our partners to understand the challenges they face in their specific markets. One over-riding lesson we continue to learn is that every country is unique and requires a strategy that is individually tailored to suit. For example on our recent visit to Poland we were disappointed to encounter a high level of software piracy affecting the efforts of our distributors. Wilcom has been very effective in countering this criminal behaviour in other markets and we will initiate an active campaign in Poland to counter this threat.

While conscious of the difficult economic conditions in some parts of Europe, Wilcom believes that continued growth can be achieved by virtue of a strong product offering and superior customer support.
