Learn About Hatch Embroidery Auto-Digitizing

Save time and get professional results with Hatch Embroidery Auto-Digitizing

One of the key features of Hatch Embroidery Software is Auto-Digitizing which enables you to turn bitmap or vector images into embroidery designs with just a few clicks. You can find the toolbox on the left side in your software.

There are a number of tools you can use depending of your artwork and they are available in both Hatch Embroidery Composer and Hatch Embroidery Digitizer levels.

In this video Lindee Goodall takes you through the different tools and what they are best used for.

Another useful video that shows you the process of auto-digitizing with Hatch Embroidery Composer and Hatch Embroidery Digitizer levels.

After auto-digitizing your design you can use the editing tools in the Customize Design toolbox. For example you can set your fabric type in the Auto-fabric tool and it will automatically adjust the settings of pull compensation, stitch density and underlay.

You can also edit the various parts of your design with the tools included in the Edit Objects toolbox.

For more in-depth information read the Auto-Digitizing section of the Hatch Embroidery User Guide.

I have a question about updates to the software. If I purchase Hatch, will all future updates be free? If not, what determines if there is a charge for an update.

Answer: Hi Donna - future updates to the same version of Hatch will be free and there are lots of updates which include both improvements to current tools as well as adding brand new tools and features such as the knife tool and break-apart tool recently added.

When a brand new version of Hatch is released, eg Hatch 2.0, that will most likely require an upgrade cost if someone wishes to get the new version.

I have two questions:

-I have Hatch1, why you don't let people who bought the software try version 2 for 30 days like everyone else who didn't spend a dime yet with you?

-You very often have a price reduction for the full version. Why you don't offer a discount on the upgrade?

I find it very frustrating that I have to pay for something I can't try while potential new customers can have the 30 days trial. Thanks for reading my comment, I know it's not the best comment but it is honest.

Hi Ibolya,

- Did you know that we offer a 30 day money back guarantee on the update too? So if you don't like Hatch 2, you get your money back and you can go back to using Hatch 1. So essentially it is like a 30 day free trial.

- The update to Hatch 2 was priced very reasonably considering the number and quality of the new and improved tools and features it includes. The feedback from customers who updated their software was that they got a great value.
